RIBA CPD Event – Malmaison hotel, Leeds

Finite Solutions, delivered their inaugural RIBA CPD seminar in Leeds last week.
Having recently undergone the training to be able to offer architects and interior designers this much sought after knowledge, of how to integrate technology into their developments, and property renovations, to ensure they are 'Future Ready', this launch seminar was extremely well received.

Guests were treated to the luxurious surroundings of the Malmaison Hotel, where Finite
Solutions' Marketing Director, Fraser Stride, presented a seminar providing a CPD
accreditation for the 100 + architects, property developers and interior designers who
attended throughout the day.

With a presence from most of the major players from across the region, including
national practices such as Wildblood MacDonald, Design Group 3 Architects, Work
Interiors, DLA Architecture, Browne Smith Baker, Atkins Global and Ramsden and
Partners, the event had huge scope.

The event was also an opportunity for architects to bring along their clients, so they could
experience the technology first hand for themselves. Areas covered in the seminar included home cinema, multi room music and video, lighting control, home automation and networking, all areas in which Finite Solutions are experts.

Over £100,000 of home cinema and high end hi-fi equipment from manufacturers such as
Runco, Linn, Arcam and Screen Research was on display to bring the CPD to life and
guests were invited to sit back and enjoy whilst relaxing with a glass of wine and canapés.

Also launched here were Finite Solutions exclusive new C:HEAR (Comprehensive Home
Entertainment and Automation Resource) specifier packs – a set of supporting literature
that Finite has committed to producing to aid architects and design professionals, in
creating Integrated Future Ready Homes.

Finer details such as wiring; integration; control devices; future proofing; and education on industry direction, provided great insight into a world that may sometimes be fairly far
removed from the architect, in a bid to support earlier integration of technology, for the
benefit of the end client.
