The Brief

As part of a wider Control4 smart home providing lighting control, security and audio-visual control throughout the house, our clients were looking to achieve a high performance compact cinema room in an extension to their home.

As big Star Was fans, our brief was to design a bespoke cinema interior based on the staggered black and grey wall panelling, star ceiling and movie posters as featured in one of our previous cinema room projects that could seat five people and provide high performance for both movies, TV and gaming.

The Room Build

As the clients had a main contractor working in the house Finite Solutions designed the overall look and feel of the room for client sign off and then designed the studwork frame, staging, sound proofing treatments, ply and plasterboard lining solution for the main contractor to implement alongside first fix cable installation.

Finite Solutions specialist fit out team then installed all the audio-visual equipment, seating, starscape ceiling, Lutron black out blinds, in room acoustic treatments and wall panelling

The Audio Visual System

Featuring Anthem audio processing, B&W 7 series in wall speakers and subwoofers in a 7.2.4 configuration this room really packs a punch and delivers very impressive surround sound performance.

The JVC N7 projector is concealed in a ceiling box to reduce visual impact, noise and provides crisp clear images that are bright enough for the room to be used with the blinds open to watch TV, play games consoles or when not wanting to be in total darkness for a movie.

All systems are control by a Control4 smart home system integrated to the wider house systems for quick easy operation.
