The Brief

As part of a complete redevelopment of this beautiful Salcombe Bay property to form a luxurious holiday retreat our clients were looking for a complete home automation and entertainment solution to provide robust and simple to use smart functionality to guests and security, building management and property monitoring for the owners.

The projects key requirements were for a control system with separate user modes for guests and owners to operate the following systems:

TV’s throughout
Internal and external music systems
Cinema Room
Lighting control
Heating and cooling control
Spa control
Gate entry

The Solution

Given the requirement for separate password protected user modes with different levels of functionality for guests and owners the only way to deliver this functionality effectively was via a bespoke user interface from a Crestron control system.

The user modes limit guests to basic temperature, lighting, gate entry, blinds/curtain and audio visual control whereas the owner mode provides additional full control over heating schedules, CCTV, lighting adjustment, external perimeter detection security and wider audio visual and lighting scene adjustments.

The full solution includes the following sub systems all controlled by Crestron in wall touch panels, app and smart remote controls.
