The Brief
Our clients had had full multi tier cinema rooms before in previous properties but on their new home they wanted to opt for a more cozy, family friendly and comfortable Media room experience without compromising on the performance of the system itself.
A fantastic interior and lighting scheme by Design by Uber created a wonderful relaxing space and our team only had to adjust the design slightly to accommodate the relevant technology and enhance the room acoustics to ensure the system could perform to its optimum.
The Solution
This room had limited depth which presented several challenges in accommodating rear speakers and for the throw the projection system.
Ultimately a Triad Gold reference system was installed using in wall front speakers, subwoofers and ceiling speakers with on wall fabric matched rear speakers with an Anthem MRX1140 for a 6.1.4 Dolby Atmos configuration system.
A 3m wide screen research projector screen provides the perfect 45 degree viewing angles which required the use of a Sony 4k projector plus a an addition extension lens to create the image width needed from a short throw distance.
The system has a dedicated Kaliedescape movie server as well as access to the house wyrestorm NHD 4k video system for Sky and CCTV.
Lutron lighting control throughout the house allows for simple lighting mood selection via the keypads and Crestron control system.
After calibration this room really performs fantastically well and delivery a thoroughly enveloping surround sound experience and crisp natural images
