The Importance of Exceptional Lighting
Having previously installed a comprehensive smart home system and Lutron lighting control in the clients main property the addition of this bespoke car and motorbike showroom was to include an extension of the systems in the main house.
The priority however was ensuring that the cars and motorbikes were illuminated appropriately to showcase their form and colour. Finite Solutions designed a flexible lighting solution making heavy use of bespoke ceiling mounted track lighting with linear and adjustable LED fixtures with very high CRI (Colour rendering index) values to ensure natural colour reproduction and engine inspired wall and decorative lighting.
The Lutron lighting control system ensure easy flexibility to highlight different vehicles, artwork and entertainment spaces dependant on the usage of the space or the cars on show.
Privacy and Security
Given the value of vehicles on display security and protection is paramount.
The building is covered by not only standard fire and intruder alarms but also internal and external CCTV and full external motion detection ensuring any intruder is picked up and warned off by external system monitoring before anyone gets close to the building itself.
Integrated in ceiling Lutron electric blinds provide both automated shading to protect the vehicles and artwork from sunlight as well as privacy and security concealing the contents of the building when not in use.
Entertainment Systems
The showroom features seamlessly integrated music and TV systems linked to the main house and controlled by the Control4 home automation system.
The clients can browse and listen to music from in ceiling speakers in each room and via reference quality B&W wall mounted speakers and subwoofers in the main showroom.
TV screens in each room allow independent 4K viewing of the media players and Sky TV from the main house or video presentation from a PC or wireless laptop during events.
A completely hidden cinema system with 12 foot wide drop down projector screen and JVC projector plus M&K Dolby Atmos speakers provides an immersive experience for watching films or for presentations and live motor sport events.
