The Room Design and Fit Out

Our clients brief was to provide a dedicated cinema room for 6 to 8 people with luxurious and comfortable interior and robust reliable audio visual performance.

As the works were to take place in an outbuilding which was to be redeveloped we were able to define the ideal size and layout of the room (7m long x 4.5m wide x 2.8m high) before planning was submitted and further to demonstration at our show house the client selected the general style and finishes he wanted to achieve.

3D visualisations of the proposed interior design and layout was signed off by the clients and our detailed build drawings then allowed the clients main contractor to build the appropriate sound proof shell, staging and boarding out ready for our in house team to complete the internal acoustic treatments, fabric wall finishes and lighting installation.

Whilst we offer, and often complete full turnkey solutions to cinema builds, if a client has a team of contractors on site completing wider build works sharing the cinema fit out works between basic and specialist works all completed to Finite Solutions design often represents the most cost effective solution and we are always happy to discuss all the options available.

Cinema Seating

Each of our offices have demonstration models of cinema seating from Colleccion Alexandra, Cineca and our our bespoke models produced by an upholstery fit out company we have worked with for many years.

After trying various seats our clients decided to have bespoke seating as per the models in our reference cinema demonstration room. The seats are all are fixed non reclining models with matching footstools covered in a Wymss plush velvet finish which is both incredibly soft and tactile and also very highly rated for stain resistance and rub resistance making it an ideal choice for cinema’s where seating will be heavily used and subject to snack spillages over time!

The end result looks and feels fantastic and the memory foam cushions and seat pads create a perfect  level of comfort you can really enjoy over the course of a movie or two without fatigue.
