Former Shooting Lodge Refurbishment and Extension – Brief

As part of the conversion of a former private shooting lodge into a bespoke luxurious home our clients were looking for a solution that would provide comprehensive security, lighting control, robust WiFi and simple entertainment throughout.

Our clients didn’t want a “smarthome” just robust, well installed technology that would work reliably in a large property. We specialise in this type of solution in country estates where basic off the shelf solutions do not work and a robust high quality system is needed to deliver the home technology needs of all families reliably, and we were able to demonstrate this at our Leeds Show House.

Home Technology Solution

A new cabling infrastructure installation and Ruckus WiFi system with access points all around the house and patio’s ensure future proofing and fast internet access for day to day use and support of the security and home entertainment systems.

Lighting control was managed by a Lutron system using engraved SeeTouch keypads to provide simple mood lighting control with additional security functionality activating lighting automatically on external security detections linked to CCTV, intruder and fire alarms.

Sonos music players centrally house in a dedicated equipment rack and integrated with B&W in ceiling speakers provide simple music selection in each room.

AI motion detection CCTV, a smart gate video intercom and Texecom intruder alarm provide both internal and external motion detection for early warning of any intruders in the grounds around the house

All systems can be operated via their own simple app, TV remote or lighting keypad and a Crestron in wall touch panel in key rooms provides whole house integrated control over all systems plus an always on gate entry intercom as a highly functional finishing touch.
