Flood Necessitates a Cinema Room Rebuild
Our long term clients previously had a reference cinema installed by Finite Solutions in their basement 12 years ago. A major flood sadly destroyed the whole basement leisure complex which meant a full rebuild of the cinema room interior and a new audio visual system was required to deliver the highest specification of audio visual performance.
Reference Quality Equipment
Having previously had a cinema with B&W speakers in an Auro 3D configuration and a 1080P Sony projector, the technology advancements in cinema equipment were considerable and demonstrations of several of the latest systems were essential to allow the clients to experience the art of the possible.

Interior Fit Out and Lighting
Stage 1 was a full room within a room soundproof timber frame with double plasterboard/green glue sandwich layer and ply lining for a stiff soundproof room shell.
Tensioned fabric track (50mm from SMS) was fitted to all walls with cinematech acoustic treatment installed between the tracks covered with Sound Suede acoustically transparent material for a luxurious and tactile wall finish.
A lacquer black finish double perimeter coffer ceiling with dual linear LED halo lighting creates a warm glow and conceals all the essential air conditioning ducting and vent grills. As the clients like to rotate art and movie posters in the room, recessed Delta light adjustable downlights provide focused lighting on the walls and Delta light wall lights provide relaxed diffused lighting.
A bespoke fibre optic star sky ceiling finishes off the room perfectly.
