Lighting Design and Control
As part of our client refurbishment and redesign of their new home we were asked to provide architectural lighting solutions for general room lighting, feature lighting, cabinetry and artwork.
As the clients have a large art collection in the gallery space in the centre of the home lighting has to be flexible to accommodate new pieces and changing positions and of the highest light quality throughout the home for the natural reproduction of colour and texture. Fittings from Delta Light, Orluna, Phos and Hunza are used throughout the interior and exterior of the property due light quality, styling and robust longevity.
A Lutron lighting system through combines control over switches and conventionally dimmed feature light fittings with Dali digital control over track lighting, downlights and spot lights to provide the flexibility to adjust and fine turn performance for specific artwork. Lutron also simplifies control via engraved metal finished keypads that allow one touch mood lighting setting and house wide lighting scenes when entertaining.
Smart Home System
The property also features a comprehensive smart home system with a bespoke Crestron control system interface on tablets and smart phones as well as touch panels in the walls in key rooms.
The whole houses heating and cooling, CCTV, gate and door entry, alarm, lighting and music and television systems are controlled via the Crestron system making operation of the property simple and intuitive at home or from anywhere in the world.
In addition to the TV and music systems a dedicated sound proof bespoke home cinema room provides a luxurious and high performance way for the family to enjoy movies and TV shows in absolute comfort.
