The Brief
The brief for the project was to provide modern stylish lighting that would emphasise architectural features throughout and provide subtle warmth along with flexibility and ease of use.
Design
Completion of the project took places in stages and required a cabling scheme that allowed for completion of each wing sequentially but allowing for a joined up solution of the overall house on completion of the project.
The design works normally associated with lighting design were all completed alongside the clients and architects but additional design works were also completed on the Lutron system installation to allow for linked system that could be run independently at each stage and then be joined for full house control from any lighting keypad in the house.
Lighting Specification
Plastered in fittings from Astro and Delta light were used throughout along with considerable linear LED and plastered in linear LED profiles to accentuate architectural features and give subtle accent lighting
Lighting Features
Lutron dimmers and light control systems let you use just the right amount of light, reducing electricity usage and extending bulb life. Shading solutions help optimize daylight by reducing heating and cooling costs while making the space more comfortable.
Lighting Control
A Lutron lighting system was installed throughout with various metal finishes to keypads to suit the interior design of each room and full engraving to all switches for quick simple operation by the family. Lutron is the leader in the lighting control industry and offers a wide selection of energy saving dimmers and lighting control solutions.
In addition to lighting scene setting per room, there are a number of whole wide setting, recalled from single buttons to illuminate the whole house ready for a party or entertaining and to switch on holidays modes together with other security functions when the family are away from home.
End Result
Our light fittings are energy saving and our advanced technology allows control of light sources. Our solutions help optimize daylight, reducing heating and cooling costs.
The client was delighted with the finished solution and the discrete look of the lighting throughout.
