The Brief

Our clients were looking for a simple to use but comprehensive solution to their home technology.

In addition to the essentials of future proof wiring, multi room TV and music access and a high speed whole house WiFi network an integrated alarm, gate entry and CCTV plus house wide lighting and blind/curtain control was required.

Technology Summary

After demonstration of Control4 and Crestron control systems our clients decided on a Crestron system due to the flexible and bespoke user interface that allowed then to tailor how the system would work and give greater control customisation.

Crestron in wall 7″ and 10″ panels alongside Crestron smart remote and app control were deployed as required around the house.

Lighting control was also via Crestron and electric blind and curtain tracks are from Silent Gliss.

Security is handled via Texecom alarm system, Dahua 8Megapixel 8 camera system system and a 2N smart gate intercom which provides video intercom to all touch panels and the clients phones.

Audio visual system utilise Sonos soundbars and Sonance speakers throughout for simple easy music streaming and party mode selection.

End Result

The completed system was heavily customised to deliver the exact functionality our clients required which has resulted in a very bespoke solution that provide many automated functions particular relevant to the homes security but also provide shading control to protect artwork and manage thermal gain in the building.

The system is quick and simple to use and offers basic standard day to day functionality for the wider family and guests etc at the touch of button with further detailed customisation control available via user modes reserved for the owner to ensure a perfect balance of ease of use and total control to suit each family member.

Ultimately a great system which shows off the power of what a well programmed Crestron system is capable off.
