For this amazing new build project in the North of England our clients was looking for a bespoke high specification home which required full internal and external lighting design and Lutron lighting control to provide simple mood lighting and security lighting control linked to a wider smart home automation system.
Working alongside the always inspirational Design by Uber Finite Solutions specified the architectural lighting to compliment the cabinetry and architectural features in the building and highlight artworks whilst Uber specified the unique feature lighting to each space from wall lights to pendants and and other specialist handmade fittings to complement their interior scheme.
Circuit design for the Lutron lighting control system was given careful consideration to ensure sufficient flexibility was provided to deliver suitable lighting moods for each usage type of every room which would then be recalled by the bespoke engraved Lutron light switches.
160 circuits of Lutron Homeworks QS lighting and 43 Lutron See Touch metal engraved switches were used to provide the control of the lighting across the main building and gardens
In addition to the smart light switches around the property the lighting mood in each room can be adjusted and saved to suit the clients preferences using Lutron’s intuitive home owner app which means any minor tweaks or adjustment after the system was handed over can be made instantly without having to call our team back to site.
The Lutron system is also linked to the wider Crestron smart home system which provides lighting control over each room from or global control to turn off the whole house or set up the property for entertaining can be easily achieved using the Crestron in wall touch panels or smart app. The Crestron system also provides another layer of intelligence using timers for automated lighting around the house and for security enhancement by integration with our external security detection system which triggers both internal and external lighting to ward of off any potential intruders whilst the clients are away from home.
