The Brief
Our clients were looking to create a large family media room during refurbishment of a grand London townhouse. The room was to be solely for the purpose of enjoying music, movies, sporting events and playing games consoles together as a family.
The Solutions
Working to a large, but fixed budget, the room was conceptual modelled in software and presented to the clients interior designer to demonstrate the large fixed 11 foot wide projection screen, wall panelling and lighting design proposed.
Given the fixed budget, the decision was made to use the majority of funds on the quality of the audio visual system. The projector was mounted on a drop pole which was deemed aesthetically acceptable.
The audio visual specification included Wisdom speakers and subwoofer built in to the wall behind the screen and behind the upholstery panels to deliver a 7.2.2 Atmos specification alongside Arcam amplification and a Sony 4K Laser projector.
The End Result
The completed room delivers an incredible performance for both music and movies. The detail and power it generates is beyond the clients expectations on every front.
Ease of use is also exceptional with Lutron lighting/blinds, HVAC and audio visual system all being operated by the Control4 smart system on hand held remote or iPad.
