Finite Solutions Boasts Huge Success At International Awards

Finite Solutions has won a highly coveted award for its work in smart home technology from the industry trade body, CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association). Finite Solutions won the Best Home Cinema under £40,000 category at the annual CEDIA Awards, for their Hidden Cinema Installation, featured as a part of the Leeds Showhouse.

Held in association with Dymo, Dynalite and Sky News, the CEDIA awards ceremony took place at The Brewery in London on Friday 3 April. Skynews.com presenter Martin Stanford was on hand to present Finite Solutions with the prestigious accolade, for what was deemed a clever and sophisticated home cinema solution, integrated within a truly multi-functional family space.

Commenting on their award, Finite Solution’s Fraser Stride says, “Winning a CEDIA Award two years running is a remarkable achievement, especially given the high standard of international competition this year. Being short listed four times really shows the effort the team has put in this year and I hope that we can return in 2010 with even more to offer!”

The company was also Highly Commended in the Best Integrated Home from £100,000 to £250,000 category for their carefully-considered Green Home Automation project; the realisation of one homeowner’s dream to build a property with both impressive technical and ecological credentials. Finite Solutions were also awarded Finaist in the Best Integrated Home from £100,000 to £250,000 for their Showhouse and also Finalist in the Best Home Cinema £40,000 to £100,000 for their Mclaren Cinema in their Showhouse.

The prestigious CEDIA Awards recognise and promote high quality system design, installation and integration within the home automation industry. As well as the highest number of entries received for the awards, there were more than ever before from outside of the UK. From 90 entries, 28 were short listed and the judging panel, made up of a select group of industry professionals, had the tough task of deciding the nine winners.

Having four projects shortlisted was a remarkable achievement for Finite Solutions. as no other company had more than two of their projects shortlisted. The awards this year were extremely competitive with other winners from as far afield as India, Pakistan, France, Greece and the Netherlands.

This also came a day after Finite Solutions was crowned with winning Home Cinema Choice Magazine’s “Home Cinema Installer of the Year” award which recognised the high standard of projects that Finite Solutions have completed over the last 12 months.
