Finite Solutions has delivered the ultimate corporate events and entertainment space for a renowned marketing Agency in North London.
The Brief
To reinvigorate two out of date board rooms in to multi-functional, touch-screen controlled, entertainment spaces suitable for meetings, presentations, training and client hosting. These rooms have revolutionised both their clients’ experience and the productivity of internal meetings.
System Scope
For visual presentations, Room 1 has a 50” Panasonic plasma screen with 7ft electric drop down projection screen and Optoma full HD ultra bright projector, and Room 2 has a 65” Panasonic plasma screen.
Discrete in-wall and in-ceiling speakers linked to Denon amplifiers provide crisp, clear audio in both rooms.
The instantly selectable viewing option in both rooms include; Sky+HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, PC and a local desk point for guests to plug laptops into the system which provides VGA, audio and HDMI connections plus an iPod dock.
The Lutron lighting in the room was designed so that different “Scenes” could be selected depending on the function of the room. For “Meeting” the lights are bright so the attendees can see any materials clearly and make notes. For “Video”, the lights at the screen end of the room are dimmed to enhance the displayed images.
As you can see from the photos, there is a large glass screen separating the meeting room from the open plan office. For privacy, and to minimise ambient light when using the projector, a 4m wide Lutron blackout blind was custom build and installed along the length of the glass screen wall.
All equipment is out of sight housed in professional equipment racking.
Ease of Use
Ensuring all of the technology can be operated instantly by any member of staff without training is of vital importance. Philips Pronto 6” Touch screen controllers are provided in both rooms which allow a single button press to turn on the system and select what you want to view on the screens. Lighting and blind control is also provided for instant changes during a meeting.
In addition, innovative technology has been installed to allow quick ‘fixes’. For example, a button on the touch screen controller allows a user to cut the power to the Sky box to reset it without needed to switch the power socket manually. In addition to this, remote support over the internet allows Finite Solutions engineers to diagnose any problems remotely for the most rapid service response.
Corporate Brand Reinforcement
The company’s logo is permanently displayed on the touch screen remote control so it is always at the forefront of staff and visitors' minds.
Plus, the projector is set to display the company logo on start up, reinforcing the host company’s brand.
Verdict
The client was so happy that 3 months after the initial installation, Finite Solutions were commissioned to install a similar system in another of the company’s training rooms - a facility that can host up to 40 delegates.
