Liverpool Cinema
A complete overhaul of an unused room in this client’s home in Liverpool started as an idea for a “movie room” and quickly turned in to a complete interior design and custom installation of a high quality Dedicated Home Cinema. From being unused, to never not used, this installation is a triumph delivering an experience beyond our clients expectations.
The Solution
After visiting our show home in Leeds, West Yorkshire and seeing the possibilities for just how good the sound and picture quality could be a dedicated home cinema soon became the focus. Rather than installing a room with rows of cinema seating the idea of a more informal family space with large comfortable sofas much better suited to a social gathering space was settled upon. As the owners had little time to coordinate such a big project Finite Solutions took on the full renovation and in conjunction with one of our design partners, Blind Colour, a fully managed interior, heating, electrical and entertainment system was designed to meet every challenge the project presented.
Design
Full lifelike 3D images of the new room were produced and shown to the client to allow them to get a true idea of how the completed room would look, thus allowing for their input to tweak lighting features, cabinetry styles and custom designed seating to ensure the finished result was exactly as they required.
Audio visual System
High quality was required so Arcam FMJ electronics linked to Artcoustic speakers, a Kaleidescape movie server and Runco projector were specified to deliver the style, picture quality and immersive surround sound the room deserved.
To make the system simple for the whole family to use all the equipment was hidden out of site in built in cabinetry so the only equipment you would ever need to use would be the Pronto touch screen remote control which with the press of a button would set the temperature, dim the lights, and activate the projection system ready to watch a film.
To ensure the sound in the room was optimised padded suede panelling was installed to two walls to provide an ideal acoustic environment without hard surface and reverberations to distract from the sound tracks of the best action films. They also suited the warm comfortable feeling the client wanted when they entered the room.
Beautiful lighting
A Rako lighting control system controlling 5 circuits of LED lighting allowing different moods to be set in the room for watching TV, movies and playing games to give the room a suitable level of light and the right atmosphere
